Newly appointed service commanders have been appointed by Defense Minister Oswaldo Jarrín:

General Washington Buñay, appointed as commander of the Army; General Gustavo Agama, as Chief of the Air Force; and by Rear Admiral Rafael Poveda, as commander of the Navy.
